Monocoque caliper set: Compared to forged calipers, opposed piston calipers offer higher body rigidity, which reduces drag torque and prevents uneven pad wear. The monocoque calipers are of monoblock construction, produced by precision casting using molds. They require no modification and can be installed as bolt-on components, retaining compatibility with front/rear brake balance and ABS.

The calipers use pads of the same shape and size as the S2000 OEM type (part number 45022-AP1-000) and support rotors up to 300 mm in diameter and 26 mm in thickness. When installing monocoque calipers on CL7, DC2, EK9, or CR-Z models, special brake rotors (part number 45251-5H11416, 300 mm x 26 mm) are required.
